Bashkiria Government discussed with Turkish general contractor Eastern Exit from Ufa construction

UFA, 20 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Government of Bashkiria discussed with the general contractor a construction of the Eastern Exit from Ufa. The Prime Minister Rustem Mardanov met with the vice-president of the Turkish company Limak Group Serdar Bacaksiz. The State Committee for Transport RB informs that at the moment the design works are being carried out at the facility. Limak's specialists completed a survey of the existing and design of new objects of the transport corridor, including a tunnel from Salavat Yulaev Avenue to the bank of the Ufa River. Serdar Bacaksiz noted that this project is one of the largest for the company.
The facility is estimated at 34.5 billion rubles. 10 billion rubles are attracted at the expense of the concessionaire (Bashkir concession company LLC, VTB subsidiary), 4.6 billion - the republic's loan from the New Development Bank BRICS, 19.9 billion rubles - federal support in the form of inter-budget transfers.
The fact that the construction company from Turkey will become a general contractor of the corridor from the route M5 to M7 through the city became known in the summer of 2017 when Limak acquired 49% of the capital of the Bashkir concession company. The Limak Group enterprises, in particular, built the third bridge across the Bosporus Strait in Turkey (opened in August 2016), and in Russia - the Platov international airport in Rostov-on-Don.
The construction of the Eastern Exit is planned to be carried out by December 2021. The project includes a construction of a 1.2-kilometer tunnel, a 2.5-kilometer bridge and its extension by a ten-kilometer road. It will be a toll road for the first few years.
