Layoffs affected about 5.7 thousand people in Bashkiria

UFA, 19 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agencyб Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. In Bashkiria from the beginning of 2018, 5,670 people were dismissed because of liquidation of companies, or staffing cuts, the Republican Ministry of Labor reports.

Of the total number of those who were affected by layoffs, 2409 people managed to find jobs. The old-age labor pensions were assigned to 348 inhabitants of the region.

By early June, the total number of employees at risk of dismissal amounted to 6,163. The overwhelming majority of them are employees who are supposed to be dismissed, as well as those who are currently engaged in part-time jobs.

A year ago, almost 11.5 thousand people were at the risk of dismissal in Bashkiria. Over 7,3 thousand employees were affected by layoffs for the first five months of 2017.

As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, as of June 13, 2018, 193 enterprises and organizations of Ufa were forced to cut 2,592 people. Of these, 1248 people managed to find jobs, most of them in the same companies.
