"Trans-Urals 2018" Economic Forum in Sibay will focus on timber industry complex development

On June 9, in the city of Sibay, a roundtable devoted to inter-regional and inter-municipal cooperation in the sphere of the timber industry complex is planned within the framework of the forthcoming "Trans-Urals 2018" Economic Forum. This was reported by the press service of the Government of Bashkiria.

According to the Strategy of Social and Economic Development of the Republic, more than 30 investment projects in the field of forest development totaling 50 billion rubles are implemented in Bashkiria. 11 investment projects are being implemented in the north-east and in the Trans-Urals.

At the forum representatives of business and authorities will pay attention to the organization of centralized wood supply by tenants of forest areas in the Trans-Ural region to provide raw materials to the woodworking enterprises of the republic and to develop exchange trade in round timber.

In addition, the issues of the wooden housing construction development under the Domocomplekt (pre-fabricated houses) program in the territory of the Trans-Ural region will be considered.

The Timber Industry Complex Strategy in Bashkiria supposes that the development of the estimated cutting area as a whole should reach 45 percent by 2025, 62 percent by 2030.
