Mortgage rate has updated its historical minimum in Bashkortostan

By early May, an average rate on mortgage housing loans has updated its historical minimum in Bashkiria and amounted to 9.7% against 11.8% in May 2017, Bashinform News Agency was told by the National Bank RB representatives.

Compared to January-April last year, the number of mortgage loans issued to Bashkiria residents increased 1.8 times. Total, banks granted more than 15.8 thousand mortgage housing loans to republican residents in the first four months of 2018.

The sum of issued mortgage loans exactly doubled in comparison with 2017 and reached 25.8 billion rubles.

The average crediting period is 15 years in Bashkortostan.

As of May 1 of this year, the total debt of the regional borrowers to banks on mortgages increased by 26.6% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 151.9 billion rubles.

At the same time, the share of overdue debts in Bashkiria continues to decline. By early May, it amounted to 0.8% of the total debt, the National Bank representatives underlined.
