Excises for gasoline and diesel fuel will be reduced since June 1

UFA, 1 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Russian authorities plan to reduce excises for gasoline and diesel fuel since June 1, Izvestia reports.

According to Rosstat, since the beginning of this year, gasoline grew by 1.5%, and in annual terms, it added 6.1% in April.

As the newspaper reports, the decision was made to contain the increase in fuel prices and reduce excises for gasoline by three thousand rubles per ton, for diesel fuel - by two thousand rubles per ton.

Since July 1, excises will be further reduced by 700 rubles per ton. The purpose of such decisions is to stabilize a situation in the fuel market. The moratorium on price increases will last a month.

On May 31, it was reported that the government has several options for stabilizing the situation in the market. One of the possible measures is an increase in the volume of motor fuel trading at the exchange.

As previously reported by the Bashinform News Agency, in May the cost of gasoline increased six times in Bashkiria.
