Bashkortostan Republic and Rosneft expand cooperation

UFA, 25 May 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Today, the Republic of Bashkortostan and PJSOC Rosneft signed an agreement aimed at expanding cooperation in the social development of the region at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and Chief Executive Officer of PJSOC Rosneft Igor Sechin affixed their signatures to the document.
The document is a supplement to the Cooperation Agreement effective from the beginning of 2017 and provides for the interaction of the parties in the field of social infrastructure development in all municipalities of the republic, as well as sports facilities in the areas of production activities of PJSOC Bashneft.
The most vivid examples of successful cooperation between the republic and the company are, in particular, the commencement of the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim biological treatment plant industrial operation and completion of the Tuymazy Arena universal sports ice complex construction.
Also, in the presence of Rustem Khamitov and Igor Sechin, an agreement was signed to carry out construction and installation works on gas treatment and gas condensate facilities in the East Urengoy license area between PJSOC Rosneft and PJSOC Vostokneftezavodmontazh.
Prior to the signing, the Head of the Republic took part in the Energy Panel session, where a comprehensive analysis of the oil and gas industry prospects and models of its sustainable development in new realities were presented. The discussion panel considered the issues of increasing the efficiency of production costs and capital investments of oil companies through the wide use of digital technologies, as well as preserving the long-term competitive advantages of the oil and gas industry during the transition to a low-carbon economy through the realization of human and technological potential.
