Bashkortostan takes second place in Volga Federal District in houses construction

Bashkiria ranks second in the commissioning of residential buildings among the regions of the Volga Federal District following the results of four months of this year. According to the commissioning of housing per capita, the republic takes also the second place, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reports.

According to statisticians, 5 541 apartments with a total area of 492.4 thousand square meters were put into operation at the expense of all financing sources in January-April. It is 8.7 percent less than a year ago.

121 square meters of housing were built per thousand people in Bashkiria.

In the structure of housing construction, the share of housing built by the population at its own expense and with the help of loans amounted to 80.4 percent.

They built 3,663 of their own houses with an area of 395,9 thousand square meters. This is 7.9 percent less than in January-April 2017.

The developers - legal entities of the republic for the first four months of this year commissioned 96.5 thousand square meters of residential buildings. This is by 12 percent less than a year ago.
