Bashkiria residents take loans more actively

UFA, 10 May 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. For three months of this year, residents of Bashkiria took loans for 63.8 billion rubles. This is by 1.5 times more than a year ago.

Both mortgage and consumer loans showed growth.

"The increase in lending was influenced by such factors as improved pricing conditions for lending, easing of requirements for borrowers and increased demand for loans among the population", explained Sergei Korovin, the deputy head of the Department - National Bank RB of the Ural Central Bank of Russia.

Thus, in January-March 2018, consumer loans worth 45.3 billion rubles were issued in the republic. This is by 34% more than in the first three months of the last year.

At the same time, the share of the overdue debt is decreasing. By April 1 this year, it was 6.4% against 9% a year ago.

"This is a positive trend, which testifies to the fact of improving the loan portfolio quality of banks in lending to individuals ", said Sergei Korovin.

Mortgage lending in the republic is also continuing its growth. For three months of this year, its volume reached 18.4 billion rubles, which is by 2.1 times more than in the same period of the last year.

To date, Bashkortostan still ranks second in the Volga Federal District in terms of number and volume of mortgage lending. At the same time, the weighted average interest rate on mortgages decreased from the beginning of the year from 10.6 to 9.7%.
