Bashkiria agrarians sowed 290 thousand hectares

UFA, 10 May 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria, by May 10, agrarians of the republic sowed 290,000 hectares of arable land. Over the last two days, the increase was 130,000 hectares or 6 percent.

The seeding campaign is now conducted most actively in the Alsheevo district. Here, 37 percent of the areas allocated for spring crops are sown. About a quarter of the planned volume was sown in Yermekeevo, Zianchurino and Kuyurgazy districts of Bashkortostan.

As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, just this year it is planned to carry out spring sowing on an area of 2.065 million hectares, without taking into account the winter crops re-sowing. This is by 131 thousand hectares more than a year ago.

At the same time, 1.353 million hectares will be planted in spring grains, compared to 1.468 million hectares last year. 48.7 thousand hectares are planned to allocate for the sugar beet, 216.2 thousand hectares for sunflower, and 858.8 thousand for fodder crops.
