More than 8,000 hectares of spring crops are sown in Bashkortostan steppe

UFA, 4 May 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. In Bashkiria, a sowing campaign is in progress. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Republic, currently, most of the districts are occupied with fertilization and harrowing of perennial grasses, fertilization of winter crops. By the middle of the week, these operations were carried out at 30, 35 and 25 percent of the total amount of work, respectively.

In the areas of the pre-Ural steppe (south-west of the region), agricultural enterprises started spring crops sowing. At the moment, 8,000 hectares of grain crops, legumes, and sunflower are planted.
