Experts named best-selling new foreign cars in Russia

UFA, 16 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. A rating of the best-selling new foreign cars in Russia is published following January-March 2018. It was prepared by experts of the "Autostat" analytical agency.

The leader was the Kia Rio brand. Over the first three months, more than 25.3 thousand vehicles were sold, which is by 20.2% more than last year. The second position was taken by the Hyundai Creta crossover. Its sales grew by 39%, to 15.7 thousand cars, the newspaper Izvestia reports with reference to the Moscow agency.

The third place went to the Hyundai Solaris sedan. Its result in the current year has improved by 14.2%, to 14.4 thousand cars. Also, the top ten best-selling foreign cars included Volkswagen Polo (11 500 cars), Renault Duster (10,200 units), Skoda Rapid (8,000), Renault Kaptur (7,600), Kia Sportage (7,500), Volkswagen Tiguan (7,300) and Renault Sandero (7,200). Total, since the beginning of the year, 294.7 thousand foreign cars were sold.
