Three more cities will receive status of priority development area in Bashkiria

UFA, 12 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. At a meeting of the Federal Commission on establishment and operation of the priority development areas, applications of the Republic of Bashkortostan for creation of PDAs in the monocities of Beloretsk, Blagoveshchensk and Neftekamsk were approved.
Currently, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia is preparing relevant draft resolutions of the Government of the Russian Federation, the press office of the regional government reports.
In December 2016, a PDA status was awarded to the monocities of Belebey and Kumertau. To date, 14 PDA residents have been registered in these cities. These are companies of chemical, light industry, enterprises engaged in the production of building materials, food products and other areas. The implementation of their projects will attract more than 2.8 billion rubles of investments and create over two thousand new jobs. In 2017 residents already invested about 1.2 billion rubles and created 600 jobs in the monocities of Belebey and Kumertau.
PDAs are created to diversify the economy of single-industry towns by reducing dependence on city-forming enterprises, attracting investments, creating new jobs and improving socio-economic situation in single-profile municipalities in general. In such territories, there are preferential legal procedures for the entrepreneurial activities implementation.
