Euro exchange rate has exceeded 80 rubles

According to the Moscow Stock Exchange, the dollar exchange rate for tomorrow settlement grew by 1.45 rubles to 64.46 rubles at 10.05 Moscow time, the euro rate - by 1.88 rubles - to 79.73 rubles.

Today, the dollar has already reached the high of 64.77 rubles, the maximum since December 2016, euro - up to 80.15 rubles - the maximum since March 2016.

Experts explain the fall of the ruble by the emotional reaction of investors to new anti-Russian restrictions.

On Monday, the Russian currency collapsed strongly amid the introduction of the US new anti-Russian restrictive measures. More than two dozen of high-ranking officials and businessmen, as well as related companies, were included in the sanctions list.
