Trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Byelorussia amounted to 139.7% to level of 2016

The issues of the development of bilateral cooperation between Bashkortostan and the Republic of Belarus were discussed at a meeting of the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov with the head of the branch of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation in Ufa, Petr Baltrukovich. The meeting was held within the framework of the Agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between the Belarussian Government and the Government of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation signed in 1999.

"As a result of 2017, the growth of trade turnover between our republics amounted to 139.7% against the level of 2016," Petr Baltrukovich said. "Positive tendencies are evident. And they are even strengthening, analyzing the data as of the beginning of 2018."

Also, details of the forthcoming visit of the governmental delegation of Bashkortostan to Belarus led by Deputy Prime Minister Evgeny Guriev were discussed next week. A regular meeting of the working group on cooperation between Bashkortostan and Belarus will take place in Minsk.
