Population number was calculated in Bashkiria

UFA, 1 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The resident population of the republic exceeds 4.063 million people. Such data, as of January 1, 2018, are given by the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency.

According to statisticians, among urban districts, the majority of the population traditionally falls on the capital of Bashkiria - more than 1.131 million people. The city of Sterlitamak takes the second place, which has about 280 thousand inhabitants. The city of Salavat with a population exceeding 152 thousand people closes the top three.

Among the urban districts of the republic the fewest inhabitants live in the cities of Agidel and Mezhgorye - 15 and 15.6 thousand, respectively.

More than 1.973 million people live in the urban districts of Bashkiria.

As for the municipal districts, the majority of the inhabitants live now in the Tuymazy district, including the city of Tuymazy, over 132,000 people.

The population of Beloretsk and Beloretsk district exceeds 101 thousand people.

Almost 97 thousand inhabitants live in Belebey district and the city of Belebey.

The smallest population is in Zilair district, where about 15 thousand people live permanently.

Ermekeyevo district takes the conditional second place, the population of which is 15.8 thousand people.

Approximately the same number of residents is in Burzyan and Fedorovka districts - 16.5 and 16.8 thousand, respectively.
