High-tech center for cash storage and processing to be constructed in Ufa by 100th anniversary of Bashkortostan

The National Bank for Bashkortostan - Branch of the Ural Central Bank of Russia laid a "time capsule" with a message to the descendants to commemorate a construction start of a new high-tech center for cash storage and processing. It is included in the list of the "100 objects for the 100th anniversary of Bashkortostan" project.

"The cash center of the Bank of Russia subdivision is an important component of the cash circulation infrastructure in the region. New banknotes of the Bank of Russia are delivered to it, banknotes are stored in it", explained the press secretary of the National Bank for Bashkortostan, Gulnaz Abuzarova.

To date, the National Bank for Bashkortostan has two cash centers located in the northern and southern parts of Ufa.

The new cash center is planned to be opened in 2019. It will replace the two existing ones, which will significantly reduce the costs of the Bank of Russia in organizing cash circulation in the republic.

"The introduction of modern automated technologies for processing and storing banknotes will allow us to optimize the logistics schemes for the transportation of cash, increase the speed and quality of cash services for credit institutions, reduce the costs of storing banknotes, and optimize the processing of banknotes and coins," added Gulnaz Abuzarova.
