Dilapidated housing demolition program will be continued at republican level - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 23 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. The dilapidated housing demolition program will be continued at the republican level. This was stated by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, delivering a report on the last-year results of the Government's activities to the regional parliament.

“Our trips to any locality in the republic show that the demolition program for dilapidated and emergency housing should not be closed, it must be continued. We will do this work at the republican level", said the Head of the Region. “This work is quite expensive. It will cost about billions of rubles. But it should be done. We have no right to keep our people in these collapsing barracks. Today we have solved a problem of only those emergency houses that are recognized as such before January 1, 2012. And we have new emergency housing appearing every year. So there are a lot of issues in this part.”

The Head of the Republic noted that the corresponding federal program was completed in 2017. But its implementation at the municipal level raises a number of questions.

“The Government will once again examine how the program was implemented in 2017, will hold all the necessary measures to restore order, stringent reporting. And when we get a generalized view of the results of 2017, we will continue this activity in 2018-2019 and subsequent years”, stressed Rustem Khamitov.
