Rustem Khamitov discussed French investments in our republic at Sochi forum

The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov discussed the prospects for implementing investment projects of French companies in the republic at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi. He told about this in an interview with reporters on the results of the forum.

“I was approached by the president of the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who is preparing a visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in May this year,” said Rustem Khamitov. “He was very interested in the fact that the French company Savencia had come to our republic to produce soft and hard cheeses there. The conversation has started, and it seems that we will receive several more offers from French companies that would like to work with us.”

The Head of the Republic noted that a topic of investments became one of the most significant ones for the delegation of Bashkortostan at the forum.

“Currently we should bring investments attraction to the next level. In general, everything is quite good. We will have by 300 billion rubles of investments more following the results of 2017. These are very significant figures. The Sverdlovsk region has 250 billion rubles, the Chelyabinsk region - about 200 billion rubles, we have more than 300 billion rubles. That is, we will be among the 10-12 major investment regions", Rustem Khamitov said.
