Bashkortostan Congress Bureau and Bashkir Exhibition Company applied for membership in "National Congress Bureau" Association

UFA, 15 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/. The delegation from Bashkiria departed to Sochi, which will host the Russian Investment Forum on February 15-16. A topic of the regional event industry development and attraction of funds to the Russian entities after holding international congress events was raised for the first time at this venue. According to the R&C Exhibition and Research Center, a capacity of the business events market in Russia is about € 200-250 million. Foreign experts believe that the Russian market potential exceeds € 550 million.

"Positive trends are marked in this area in Russia. There are eight regional congress bureaus in the country, about 2000 professional organizers of conferences and operators of business events. Annually more than 12 500 congress events are held in the country", participants of the Russian Investment Forum specify.

In this regard, the Bashkortostan Congress Bureau and the Bashkir Exhibition Company applied for a membership in the "National Congress Bureau" Association.

"Russian and international investors show now an increased interest in the regions of Russia. We can see how Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Ekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Ufa proved this. Infrastructure is developing, new enterprises and jobs are being created, and a tourist flow is growing in these cities due to the hosted major events", said Alexei Kalachev, Director of the "National Congress Bureau" Association.
