Only 20 enterprises received subsidies from Russian Export Center in Bashkiria

UFA, 14 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The regional department of the Russian Export Center in Ufa has not fully spent the budget for 2017, stated its head Rimma Boitsova at the final board of the Ministry of Industry RB in Sterlitamak. The Ufa Russian Export Center, which was launched in the second half of last year, received 348 applications from 106 republican exporting enterprises and export-oriented ones. "However, 90% of them were small and microenterprises that were only showed interest in foreign trade activities. They received assistance with counseling and training. Only 20 companies received actual help", Rimma Boitsova explained. The opened in Ufa regional branch of the Russian Export Center works for Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Udmurtia. "The activity of neighboring regions is much higher", the head of the branch noted. "20% more Udmurtia enterprises applied for help than Bashkiria ones with a tenfold difference in exports".
Rimma Boitsova called ambitious the task set for 2018: to provide support to 60% of the existing exporting enterprises of the republic.
"Bashkortostan for 11 months increased the supply of products of non-energy sector by 48%. But we should not be under a delusion: the growth was due to the low base effect compared to 2016. And in comparison with 2014 there was a fall of the republican export by more than 60%, including due to sharp reduction of raw export. From the top ten the republic moved to the end of the second ten. The same trend was marked in the Volga Federal District rating: earlier the republic was second only to Tatarstan but now Samara and Nizhny Novgorod regions are ahead of us", Boitsova said.
51% was accounted for non-primary energy products (mainly petroleum products), 44% - for non-primary non-energy (inorganic and organic chemicals, construction materials, machinery) in the structure of Bashkiria exports in 2017. The maximum growth rates were shown by petrochemicals - 137%, machine building - 118%, glass industry - 50%, chemical and wood processing - 25%.
The growth of Russia's non-primary exports in 2017 reached a record high for the past 10 years - 22.5%.
