"Eastern Exit" project from Ufa to the M5 highway will be completed by spring 2018

Construction of a road tunnel, a bridge over the Ufa River, overpasses and roads from Ufa with access to the M-5 Ural highway - these are projects that the Bashkiria Government plans to implement in the format of public-private partnership. On February 12, at a briefing, the Chairman of the Transport Committee RB described how a package of major projects was formed.

"Now design and survey works are conducted as part of the largest investment and infrastructure project "Eastern Exit". They will be completed in the spring of 2018. The general contractor, the Turkish company Limak Group, is planning to complete the survey of existing and designing new objects of the transport corridor, including a tunnel from Salavat Yulaev Avenue to the bank of the Ufa River", the press service of the Government RB specified.

The facility cost is estimated at 34 billion rubles, 10 billion of which are funded at the expense of the concessionaire, 4.6 billion rubles are allocated by the New Development Bank BRICS, 19.9 billion rubles will be received as a federal support in the form of intergovernmental transfers.

"In the long term, a corresponding decision can be made in April 2018. The agreement between Bashkortostan and Rosavtodor on provision of the transfers can be concluded in July 2018," the spokesmen of the republican government explained.
