Forests aerial surveillance of 4.6 thousand kilometers is planned in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan, in the framework of the forest fire prevention program in 2018, aerial surveillance of forests along eight routes with a length of more than 4.6 thousand kilometers is planned. Ground patrolling along 1062 routes will cover more than 41 thousand kilometers.

In 2017, distinguished by a rainy summer, 38 forest fires were recorded in the territory of our republic with a total area of 354.5 hectares - almost four times less in number than in 2016, and half the area. For comparison: during the abnormally hot and dry summer of 2010 there were 608 fires in the region in an area of 11.6 thousand hectares.
