Higher educational institutions graduates coming to work in rural areas will receive half million rubles

Graduates of higher educational institutions who will come to work at enterprises of the agro-industrial complex in rural areas will receive a one-off payment of 500 thousand rubles. This was stated by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov at a meeting on preparations for the spring field work.

"Our republic supports young specialists", the head of the republic said. “Amendments were made to a decree on supporting the personnel potential of the agro-industrial complex. From this year, one-time payments of 500 thousand rubles will be made to specialists with higher education and 300 thousand rubles to specialists with secondary vocational education who will work in agricultural sector.”

The head of the region noted that rural labor was becoming increasingly attractive for young people. However, wages in rural areas remain rather low, despite the fact that last year they grew by eight percent and reached an average of 18 thousand rubles.

“It's still 60 percent of the average republican salary. It is clear that so far it is below the average salary in the republic by 30 thousand rubles”, said Rustem Khamitov. “But if we achieve labor efficiency – we will have good wages. These two indicators are obviously linked. We need profitability of agricultural production. It is necessary to create conditions for attracting prospective employees to the industry.”
