Russians debt overburden grew by 37%

UFA, 31 January 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. According to the United Credit Bureau, Russians borrowed 5.68 trillion rubles in 2017. In 2016, the amount of loans was 4.14 trillion (+ 37%). The number of loans increased by 12% - from 31.2 million to 34.8 million.
The leader in terms of growth was a segment of credit cards - for the year the volume of credit cards grew by 48% to 544.5 billion rubles. The amount of loans issued to citizens amounted to 12.2 trillion rubles.
The new mortgages number increased by 30% in a year, cash volumes - by 42%. Last year, 959.24 thousand mortgage loans were issued for a total of more than 1.79 trillion rubles (a year ago, 735.53 thousand loans were issued for 1.26 trillion rubles). The average size of the new mortgage loan increased by 9%: from 1.71 to 1.87 million rubles.
Meanwhile, incomes of Russians fall for the fourth year, in 2017 they have decreased by 1,7%, The Bell reminds. The share of citizens with savings decreased from 39% to 31% from August to September. The share of those who do not have any savings has grown by the same 8% - from 59 to 67%.
