Two Kumertau helicopters will replenish special-mission aviation in Russia

UFA, 29 January 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. The Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise (KumAPP) of "Russian Helicopters" holding will deliver to a customer two light multi-purpose helicopters Ka-226T with ship-based capacity until the end of March. They will join the special-mission aviation of the Russian Federation.

Now both vehicles are in the final assembly shop, and two more helicopters are at the production stage. In addition, the Ka-226T manufacturing is conducted at the plant for the Federal Service of National Guard troops. This helicopter will be delivered to the customer in June 2018.

"One of the core activities of KumAP is work within the framework of the state defense order. This plant has unique competences in manufacturing decked helicopters that contribute to strengthening the sea borders of Russia. The enterprise in recent years has demonstrated a steady growth in production indicators, it is fully prepared to place new orders from the Russian law enforcement agencies", said Andrei Boginsky, the Holding CEO.

The press service of the Helicopters of Russia Holding informed that within the framework of the state defense order the KumAPP was also working on the repair and modernization of Ka-27 helicopters. This year, the remaining four Ka-27M helicopters will be transferred to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
