Bashkortostan became one of leaders in Volga region in Volga-Yangtze international cooperation development

Bashkortostan has become one of the leaders in the Volga region on the development of international cooperation in the format of "Volga-Yangtze". This was announced yesterday at the final in the outgoing year meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Alexei Sukhov of the Russian part of the Joint Working Group of Regions VFD and the upper middle stream of the Yangtze River of China.

The participants discussed the results of joint work and prospective plans for the next 2018 in a videoconferencing mode. Bashkortostan Republic is among the leaders in this direction in the Volga District.

The work is under way to implement major investment projects in the region. In particular, in the city of Sibay, a cement plant is planned to be built in conjunction with the Sichuan Environmental Protection Company of Jionhe. Today, in the territory of Sibay, LLC "Industrial Park" Sichuan-Sibay" is registered. Production of agricultural tractors of the Chinese company "YTO" is being arranged. A Memorandum has already been signed between the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Digital Management Energy Company of Jiangxi-Zhifang. To implement the project, a site has been chosen in the territory of Blagoveshchensk, where it is planned to begin work on assembling agricultural machinery at the initial stage.

Cooperation continues in the humanitarian and scientific fields. Seven agreements on educational interaction between Bashkir State University and Nanchang, Sichuan, Central-South, East-China, Anhui universities were signed. The Bashkir Medical University also conducts international scientific and educational work with four universities from the provinces of the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River.

The meeting also discussed a number of other issues related to the holding of the third meeting of the Volga-Yangtze Council in one of the regions of the Volga Federal District in summer 2018 and the development of interregional relations in the trade, economic and humanitarian fields.
