Macro indicators show steady growth in industrial production in Bashkiria

UFA, 15 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkiria summed up preliminary results of social and economic development for the year. All macro indicators show steady growth rates. Over the past six years, the gross regional product in real terms increased by 16%. In absolute terms, the development indicator of the republic doubled - from 759.2 billion rubles to 1.4 trillion.

The main share of GRP is formed by the industrial sector. From 2010 to 2016, the volume of industrial production grew by almost 30%. For January-October of 2017, the growth rate of industrial production was 102.3% with a forecast of 102.1%.

The enterprises of chemical production, woodworking, machine building produced from 154% to 292%.

Production of agricultural products increased by 1.5 times for the period from 2010 to 2016. In money terms it was from 88.6 billion rubles to 168.8 billion. Agricultural production showed growth in all categories: grain - by 4.3 times, sugar beet - by 3.6 times, sunflower seeds - by 4.4 times, potatoes - by 2.6 times, vegetables - by 1.4 times, honey - by 10.9%. Agricultural enterprises produced livestock and poultry for slaughter by more than 1.5 times, the number of poultry increased by 34%. This year, record harvests of grain and sunflower seeds were collected. High growth rates were shown by investment projects in the field of meat cattle breeding and broiler poultry farming.

A significant share of the region's economy is formed by the construction industry. Over the past six years, the volume of housing commissioning increased from 2 million square meters to 2.7 million square meters or 34.4%. During this time, 102 kindergartens were put into operation total for 15.7 thousand children, 32 schools for 11 338 pupils, five polyclinics with a total capacity of 1,600 visits per shift.

Infrastructural facilities constituted: 2,1 thousand km of gas pipelines, 1,2 thousand km of waterpipes, 555,3 km of public highways.

As for the incomes of the population, in 2010 it was 17.5 thousand rubles per capita. By the end of 2016 this figure amounted to 28.1 thousand. The average monthly salary increased from 16.4 thousand rubles to 28.1 thousand rubles - more than 70%. The level of registered unemployment decreased from 1.9 to 1.17%.

Investments in fixed assets remain one of the drivers of the country's economic growth. Over the past six years, the volume of investments increased in real terms by 35.8% compared to 2010 and amounted to 361 billion rubles in 2016. Of these, 42% are investments in manufacturing industries that ensure the stability of the economy during crisis periods.

In the mid-term, GRP will increase by 8.2% and by 2020 will amount to 1.8 trillion rubles. In industry, the increase for 2018-2020 will be 7.5%.

In agriculture, the volume of output in the forecast period is planned to increase by 8.2% mainly due to the growth in livestock production by 10.4%, including in connection with the implementation of five major agro-projects. In this area priority investment projects on reconstruction of broiler enterprises of Russian Grain Ufa LLC are implemented. The total investment will amount to 5.5 billion rubles, with the creation of 565 new jobs. Projects of the Tavros management company for the construction of modern pig complexes and breeding and genetic centers with a total investment of 14.3 billion rubles will create 1,025 new jobs.

In the Alsheevo district of the Republic of Bashkortostan a poultry complex of JSC "Bashkirskiy Broiler" is under construction. The total amount of investments will make 5.9 billion rubles, with 608 new jobs to appear in the region.
