Strategy-2030 is aimed at welfare of our citizens - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 14 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. A Strategy of Social and Economic Development of the region for the period until 2030 was approved at a meeting of the Government of Bashkortostan, which was held by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov.

For the first time, not only regional scientific teams, external experts from Skolkovo, but also the public and business were involved in elaboration of the Strategy, discussing its main provisions. The requests of the federal center, in particular, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, as well as the performance indicators of the regions were taken into account.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Minister of Land and Property Relations RB Evgeny Guriev presented the main provisions of the Strategy-2030.

He noted that the republic was consistently among the top ten regions of the country in terms of basic socio-economic indicators, which, taking into account the favorable geographical location and developed infrastructure, determined the direction and pace of the region’s further development.

Four priorities of the Strategy-2030 have been formed based on the analysis of indicators. They include human resources, real sector of the economy, balanced development of territories and the improvement of state administration.

On the basis of priority directions, a set of tasks and target indicators of the document was formed, the key ones being the human development index and the gross regional product per capita. It is supposed to increase the latter by more than three times - up to 967 thousand rubles by 2030. Life expectancy should grow to 76 years.

Labor productivity, investment per capita, and growth of agricultural output are defined as targets in terms of the real economy development.

Evgeny Guriev said that in the near future a plan for implementing the document would be developed.

The Head of Bashkortostan drew attention to the need to update the sectoral programs and corresponding municipal documents in accordance with the provisions of the Strategy.
