Vodka is recognized as one of most high-quality products in Russia

Roskachestvo experts (“Russian Quality System” autonomous nonprofit organization) have not revealed any serious violations while testing domestic and foreign vodka sold in legal retail, reports RIA Novosti. Thus, vodka has become one of the most high-quality products in Russia. The results of the check are published on the website of the department. 49 brands of Russian and imported vodka were included in the study. The evaluation was based on more than twenty indicators of quality and safety. Thus, drinks were checked for contents of technical and methyl alcohol, fusel oils, impurities, nitrates, heavy metals, and also the quality of water used in production.

According to the study, 31 out of 49 products meet the "increased requirements of the Roskachestvo standard". The remaining 18 are called "quality" - they fully comply with mandatory requirements and the information stated on the label.

The Roskachestvo experts assured that all vodka involved in the study, was made with food alcohol, did not contain denatured alcohol and furfural, and toxic substances and methanol were below the established level.

As REGNUM news agency learned, a quality test of vodka before the New Year holidays will take place in Bashkiria, Adygea, Mordovia, Stavropol and Perm Territory, Vologda, Omsk and Tomsk regions, as well as in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod.
