Rustem Khamitov suggested using liquefied gas in railway sector

UFA, 11 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov speaking about the prospects of liquefied natural gas, suggested using it in rail transportation.

"Controversy still remains regarding what is more profitable - compressed or liquefied gas. It is clear that liquefied gas also has a significant market niche. It would be interesting to use it primarily for heavyweights and railways. Therefore, we will also develop this direction", the head of the region said. "One of the potential consumers is the Kuibyshev Railway, which today has quite extensive non-electrified sections in the territory of Bashkortostan Republic".
