Bashkiria Banks are preparing to accept new banknotes of 200 and 2000 rubles denominations

UFA, 1 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. Russian banks in December will complete the adaptation of equipment for accepting new banknotes of 200 and 2000 rubles denominations, after which the money will be available all over the country, RIA Novosti reported.

The Bank of Russia presented new banknotes on October 12. The bills were given a bright modern design and advanced security elements. New banknotes are maximally protected from counterfeits, according to the regulator's calculations, their mass entry will begin in December.

The first banknotes were received by Moscow and the regions depicted on them - the Far East and Crimea. The competition for the selection of symbols for banknotes was held from June to October 2016. About five thousand nominees - sights from 1113 Russian cities, including the capital of Bashkortostan took part in it.

Now Russian banks are actively preparing for the introduction of new banknotes into mass circulation. In particular, Rosselkhozbank in October was ready to issue banknotes with a par value of 200 and 2000 rubles.

As previously reported, the National Bank of Bashkortostan stated that new banknotes will appear in the region in December.
