UMPO production will exceed 80 billion rubles at year end - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 27 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The volume of UMPO production will exceed 80 billion rubles in 2017. This was reported by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov in an interview with Radio Russia-Bashkortostan.

According to him, the enterprise is successfully developing, expanding the range of products and annually increasing the volume of production.

“In 2010, when I came to office, the Ufa Engine-Building Production Association, the flagship of the Russian aircraft engine building, was barely functioning. The volume of production was about 15 billion rubles. By the end of 2017, this figure will exceed 80 billion rubles", Rustem Khamitov said. “The range of products produced by this enterprise is simply immense. The number of engines that are assembled at this enterprise is already exceeding the best Soviet indicators when it seemed impossible to produce more. Today, the enterprise produces many more engines than in the Soviet era with a much smaller number of people.”

The Head of the Republic attributed the achievements of the enterprise to the fact that the Government of the Russian Federation had formed a defense order, within which UMPO operated.
