Domestic tourism development prospects were discussed in Bashkiria

UFA, 16 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Daria Petrova/. The Hospitality and Travel Industry Forum opened in Ufa. Its program provides for round tables and master classes with participation of representatives of government bodies, business and the public.

During a plenary session, which opened the forum, its participants on the example of Bashkortostan discussed the creation of conditions for the tourist development of the region.

According to Roman Skory, Deputy Head of the Federal Tourism Agency, it is very difficult to surprise somebody with infrastructure in the modern world, therefore, the regions of Russia focusing on inbound tourism should emphasize their authenticity, geographical location, and cultural and historical traditions.

As the speakers marked, the development of the tourism industry in Russia as a whole, with the exception of a few regions, was still in its infancy.

According to the Chairman of the State Committee for Entrepreneurship and Tourism RB, Vyacheslav Gilyazitdinov, internal tourism in Bashkortostan is developing through clusters.

Also in the republic there are several specialized associations: Rural and Agro-Tourism Association, Association of Culinary, Restaurateurs and Hoteliers RB and others. At present, a tourist brand of the region is being developed in Bashkortostan.

Another important item is event tourism: in Bashkiria, all the events that could be of interest to tourists were analyzed. According to Vyacheslav Gilyazitdinov, the events with participation of foreign delegations give good feedback.

The Hospitality and Travel Industry Forum will last until November 17.
