Bashkiria strengthens relations with Vietnam: Government signed agreement on consortium creation

UFA, 16 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Government of Bashkortostan signed an agreement on creation of a consortium "Bashkir-Vietnamese Friendship Society". The consortium will be established at Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU), where a large number of Vietnamese students study.
The document was signed by the rector of the USPTU Ramil Bakhtizin, the chairman of the Society of Vietnamese citizens in Bashkortostan Chang Ngoc Tuan and the general director of the "Oil and Gas Center" consortium Ildar Yulbarisov.
The agreement is concluded for a period of five years to develop bilateral relations and promote cultural and economic cooperation between the organizations of Bashkortostan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In 2016, the volume of foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan with Vietnam amounted to 8.4 million US dollars and mainly consisted of exports of rubber and other products of the chemical industry, as well as equipment, mineral products, agricultural raw materials. From Vietnam, leather, equipment, textiles and other goods were imported.
In the territory of Bashkortostan 13 enterprises are created with participation of capital from Vietnam and engaged in trade, catering, tourism, production of plastic products, textiles and food products.
In addition to economic ties, close connections have been established between Bashkortostan and Vietnam in the sphere of culture and education.
Ramil Bakhtizin said that Ufa State Petroleum Technological University was providing a lot of support to the Vietnamese side in training highly qualified specialists.
"It is a great honor for me to attend a signing ceremony of this agreement. By signing it, I will do everything possible to ensure that our cooperation is fruitful and successful", said the Chairman of the Society of Vietnamese Citizens in Bashkortostan Chang Ngoc Tuan.
"On behalf of the Government of Bashkortostan, I would like to wish the Bashkir-Vietnamese friendship society to develop and expand not only on the basis of the petroleum university, but also for all citizens and enterprises of the republic," the deputy prime minister of Bashkortostan government Evgeniy Guriev summed up.
