Bashkir and Iranian tour operators considered cooperation possibilities in Ufa

A delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, including managers of four tour operator companies and employees of four specialized publications, visited Bashkiria at the invitation of the State Committee for Entrepreneurship and Tourism RB.

In Ufa, the Iranian delegation visited the main city attractions, museums and hotels, and then departed for the resorts of Assy and Krasnousolsky. At the end of the information tour, Iranian specialists and journalists met with the Chairman of the State Tourism Committee of Bashkortostan Vyacheslav Gilyazitdinov and the heads of local tour operators to share their impressions and discuss prospects for cooperation.

"Iranians have been traveling to Russia since 2001, mainly to Moscow and St. Petersburg," said Abbasali Shaabani, sales manager for the Roma Parvaz Travel Agency. "Over the past two years, after lifting the US sanctions, the tourist flow grew by 350%, and now the Iranians also travel to Sochi. There is practically no information about Bashkortostan. We liked what we saw here, and we, of course, write about our trip, but this is not enough. An advertising campaign should be launched".

Bashkir tour operators were interested in the preferences of Iranians and learned that they like to travel by families, often with young children. There is also certain seasonal fluctuation- from June to September, connected with school holidays. The optimal duration of a tour is 7-9 days.

"We have to clarify the target audience of the advertising campaign and think about what kind of tourist product we can offer the Iranians, so that it will be in demand among them," summed up Vyacheslav Gilyazitdinov.
