Development prospects of "Agidel" river port are considered in Bashkiria

UFA, 15 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Development prospects of the "Agidel" cargo port are considered in Bashkiria. The river port complex is included in the target program for the transport infrastructure development in the republic, as one of the key points of the regional industry in the future, the State Transport Committee RB reminds. Now the industrial zone of the city includes 200 thousand square meters of production areas of high availability.

The "Agidel" river port can accommodate vessels of the river-sea class and with maximum dimensions possible for movement along the Volga-Baltic waterway. The volume of cargo transportation is estimated at 4.3 million tons annually.

For the development of the port industry, a construction of a railway line Ufa-Blagoveshchensk-Birsk-Agidel-Neftekamsk-Amzya with a total length of 174 kilometers will be required to connect the port with the industrial cluster of the south and the center of the republic.

"In the future, the new port complex will help to restore the already partially existing port infrastructure and develop a transport corridor through the strategic "Ural Meridian". Various mechanisms are considered, including with attraction of foreign investments. Another undisputable advantage of implementing a large-scale project in the city of Agidel is an increase in the employment", the State Transport Committee RB informs.
