Dates of next All-Russian Population Census are defined

UFA, 9 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. The next All-Russian population census will be held from October 1 to October 31, 2020. The Government of Russia adopted a corresponding order on this matter published on the website of the Cabinet.

The document states that the general census will be preceded by a pilot one. It will be held from October 1 to October 31, 2018 aiming at working out organizational issues and will cover about 550 thousand people.

During the census it is planned to collect official information about the size and composition of the population of Russia as a whole, by subjects of the Russian Federation, by municipalities, in combination with socio-economic characteristics, national and linguistic composition of the population, and its educational level.

The previous all-Russian population census was conducted in October 2010. It was attended by more than 141 million people.
