AliExpress will shorten delivery time of orders to Russia up to 10 days

UFA, 7 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The AliExpress trading platform is going to reduce maximum delivery time of goods to Russia from 45 to 10 days. To achieve this, the company plans to take control of the entire delivery process, RBC reports. Thus, orders will be sent not by sellers, but by the company itself from its own warehouses in China. Cainiao company (a part of the Alibaba group of companies) will be engaged in delivery.

In addition, the company entered into a partnership with large cargo carriers, including the "Post of Russia". For the delivery of goods Tu-204-100 C aircraft will be used, flights are operated by the contractor - the "Aviastar-Tu" company. Also, AliExpress entered into a partnership with cargo airline AirBridgeCargo.

According to experts, such a model, when the company controls the entire delivery process, is also used by other trading platforms. But it "inevitably leads to a significant rise in the final price" in case of cheap goods.
