Bashkortostan Government subsidized regional air passenger transportation

UFA, 1 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Government of Bashkortostan changed a procedure for granting subsidies from the republican budget to air transport organizations for the implementation of regional passenger transportation.

The work on supporting regional air transportation has been conducted in Bashkortostan since 2013. The subsidized flights have already connected six cities of the Volga Federal District. From Ufa, at special reduced fares, you can fly to Kirov, Izhevsk, Cheboksary, Orenburg, Samara and Perm.

As stressed by the press service of the government, due to joint subsidizing of the routes at the expense of the federal and republican budgets, a fixed tariff for transportation is retained.

The project significantly saves time in transit compared to land transportation. In this case, passengers pay only half the cost of the air ticket.

As reported by Bashinform News Agency, in September a decision was made to elaborate a program for the development of air transport in Bashkortostan until 2025.
