Controlling stake in Belebeyevsky Dairy Plant will be sold to French concern

UFA, 25 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Holding Concern Intel Co (Group of Companies Neral), which owns a 100% stake in Belebeevsky Dairy Plant, is going to sell the majority stake in the company to the French group of companies Sevencia Fromage & Dairy.
According to RBC-UFA, the agreement on intentions was signed by the president of the Neral group of companies Ernst Isaev and the president of the French concern Alex Bongrain. Details of the future transaction were not disclosed. It will be concluded after its terms are approved by the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
According to representatives of the dairy plant, the French concern is considering the prospects for the development of soft cheese production in Russia. In the future it is planned to equip the Belebeevsky Plant with new equipment.
Profile publication MilkNews referring to the representative of Sevencia reported that the company expects to "build a strong line of special brands of the holding" in Russia, because here "there is a high level of cheese consumption".
Sevencia Fromage & Dairy, formerly known as Bongrain, takes second place in France and the fourth in the world for cheese production. The company's profile is delicacy cheeses, in the segment of which it occupies the leading position in the world.
In turn, Belebeevsky Dairy is one of the leading cheese producers in the country. Its capacity allows daily production of more than one thousand tons of cheese. The range of products of natural hard cheeses includes 37 items.
According to the Kartoteka.ru service, Ernst Isaev, the former vice-premier of the Bashkir government, is the owner of a 40% stake in Concern Intel (Neral).
