Vladimir Putin instructed to retain benefits for small businesses
UFA, 24 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. President Vladimir Putin instructed Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to consider a possibility of preserving financing of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This is reported by Izvestia referring to the resolution of the head of state.
In 2017, SME financing was reduced to 7.5 billion rubles due to a fall in budget revenues. The business sees this as an indicator that needs to be fixed at the same level for years to come, whereas 5 billion rubles are approved in the budget for the next three years.
A letter to the president requesting such a fixation of government spending was sent by the business association "Opora Rossii" in late September. The Cabinet of Ministers confirmed that the relevant presidential instruction has been received and is elaborated, as "this direction is one of the priorities for the government at the moment".
