Rustem Khamitov: "Cooperation development can significantly increase gross regional product growth"
UFA, 20 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held a working meeting on the development of the cooperative activity. Members of the Government of the republic, heads of relevant departments, representatives of municipalities, science, business, trade, as well as heads of agricultural cooperatives took part in it.
“According to various estimates, the development of cooperation can significantly increase the growth of the gross regional product. Estimates vary from 10 to 30 percent. Even if we reach 10 percent it is already a huge progress. Of course, we cannot ignore such opportunities”, Rustem Khamitov underlined.
Rustem Khamitov noted that it was necessary to explain to rural residents the advantages of cooperation, organize local training, and to help already created cooperatives with the bookkeeping and tax reporting, with sale of finished products.
The Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov and the Chairman of the State Committee RB on Entrepreneurship and Tourism Vyacheslav Gilyazitdinov told about the development of agricultural consumption cooperation in the republic and measures of its support. Successful working experience was shared by the heads of operating agricultural cooperatives of Fedorovka, Karaidel, Kushnarenkovo and Baymak districts.
Expert of the World Bank, senior economist for agriculture Artavazd Akopyan explained that financial support was only one of the components of the cooperative business development. Methodological and information support, as well as the overall level of the region development are also important.
