Businessmen from Bashkiria departed to Norway for "Regions of Russia" Forum
UFA, 17 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Today, on October 17, a business forum "Regions of Russia" was opened in Oslo. It involves a delegation from Bashkiria, which included entrepreneurs and officials from Mezhgorye, Beloretsk and Karaidel districts, representatives of the Russian Export Center. The purpose of the forum is to inform the Norwegian business circles about the Russian regions and their investment attractiveness, as well as to establish primary contacts with foreign business associations, the Ministry of Economic Development RB reported. The presentation was conducted by the head of the department Sergey Novikov.
In 2016, the volume of foreign trade with Norway amounted to more than $ 6 million. Export of supplied products includes mainly mineral fuel. Norwegian equipment was imported to the republic. The Minister proposed expanding the scope of cooperation and supplying to Norway the equipment of the mining and metallurgical industry. Moreover, Bashkortostan is ready to export the products of the chemical industry, equipment for oil and gas fields, ferrous metals and products from them, food products and agricultural raw materials, as well as provide services for design, construction and installation and electrical work in the fields of oil and gas production, energy, shipbuilding, petrochemistry and oil refining.
In terms of investment projects, Bashkiria proposes to develop joint projects in the oil and gas industry, construction, engineering, forestry, fish farming and medicine.
Ildar Garifullin, the head of the Karaidel district administration, sees cooperation prospects in forestry, agriculture and tourism. The General Director Ruslan Khayrullin presented his engineering company GSI-Snema.
The delegation has planned a visit to Scandinavia's largest international construction exhibition Bygg Reis Deg 2017, which represents advanced technologies in the construction industry. Further meetings will take place in the Norwegian Association of Municipal and Provincial Administrations.
