Labor Ministry named most popular occupations in September

UFA, 16 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In September, the most popular specialists in Russia were various engineers: engineers-technologists, engineers of control and measuring devices, technicians-technologists, industry specialists in machine tools. This is reported by «Izvestia».

According to experts, this may tell about some change in the economic development model from the consumption-oriented to the technology and industry-oriented one.

There is still a high demand for medical personnel and skilled workers. According to the employment service, blue-collar jobs share is quite high (65.2%).

If till 2014 there was demand for specialists in retail trade (sellers, sales managers) in the country, now the demand for engineering specialties is growing.

Also professions related to IT are increasingly sought-after in the labor market.

According to the official forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, industrial production this year will grow by 2%, while retail trade turnover - by 1.2%. Last year, the first indicator increased by 1.3%, and the second dropped by 4.6%.
