Bashkortostan entered Top-10 IT development rating of Russian regions
UFA, 16 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. Bashkortostan entered the Top-10 IT development rating of the Russian regions by the end of 2017, which the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation presented at a meeting of the Council for Regional IT Development.
The republic has significantly improved its position in the rating, having moved at once by 24 points - from 31st to seventh place. This is due to the implementation of major projects on IT development in education, health, transport, e-government. In particular, the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media noted the transfer of public services into electronic form, development of information systems for e-learning, introduction of information technologies in the educational process (electronic diary), online medical appointment system, electronic medical record, development of telemedicine, introduction of electronic means for travel payment, online traffic monitoring.
The head of Bashkortostan repeatedly noted the need for active development of information technologies. Since 2013, the Council for the E-Learning Development under the Head of the Republic has been working in Bashkortostan.
“New technologies in modern society penetrate into all spheres and branches of our life, creating more and more advantages in work and amenities. They occupy an increasingly greater place in life”, emphasizes Rustem Khamitov. “The IT development sector is singled out as a priority at the federal level too. We should participate in these all-Russian processes and projects.”
