Bashkiria’s "Safe and Quality Roads" project was highly appreciated at federal level

The implementation of the "Safe and Quality Roads" large-scale project in the territory of the Ufa agglomeration was highly appreciated at the federal level. This was announced in Moscow, at the 8th International Forum "Road Expo-2017".

Ufa agglomeration was awarded for high performance, the press service of the State Committee for Transport of Bashkortostan stressed.

Due to the implementation of the federal project it is planned to bring roads to the standard transport and operational state with a length of 164.5 kilometers in the territory of the republic in 2017-2018.

To date, after the first stage of the project, works have been completed to restore the roads and facilities included in the program in the Ufa District, as well as regional and inter-municipal significance.

In addition, the experience of implementing Bashkortostan's three-dimensional design method of asphalt-concrete mixtures was highly appreciated by the Federal Road Agency and noted as an advanced one. In Russia, the method at such a large facility as the Ufa-Airport road was used for the first time.

One of the important topics of the international forum was implementation of public-private partnership projects. In particular, during the conversation between the Minister of Transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov and the Chairman of the State Committee for Transport and Roads of Bashkortostan Timur Mukhametianov, the development of the international transport route "Western Europe - Western China", part of which is going throughout the republic, was discussed.

The "Road Expo" is one of the largest specialized exhibitions in Russia, which is highly valued among professionals of not only road facilities, but also transport, construction industries, since it covers all aspects of road infrastructure development.

This year, its participants were about 200 companies from 33 regions of Russia and foreign countries - China, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus and the Netherlands.
