Sistema proposed amicable settlement to Rosneft

UFA, 6 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Sistema JSFC offered Rosneft a settlement agreement on the suit for 170.6 billion rubles, the federal media reported. The Chairman of the Rosneft Board Igor Sechin told Interfax that the company would not be able to consider Sistema's proposal as a proposal for a settlement. According to him, everything should be within the framework of judicial decisions.

Rosneft and Bashneft tried to seize 170.6 billion rubles of losses from the restructuring of the Bashkir company in 2014 from Sistema in the Arbitration Court of Bashkortostan. In late August, the court partially satisfied the claims of the plaintiffs, having awarded them 136.2 billion rubles. Not agreeing with the reduction of the amount, the plaintiffs appealed the decision of the court.

Vedomosti remind that in September, the Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin and Vladimir Yevtushenkov, listened to the positions of the parties and expressed his hope of reaching a settlement agreement that would benefit both companies and the Russian economy as a whole ". The President stressed that he did not give any direct instructions to anyone - it is "inappropriate".

Representatives of Rosneft commented on a possibility of concluding an amicable settlement subject to payment of 170 billion rubles.
