Head of Bashkiria will choose project of Ufa high-speed transport development in December

UFA, 4 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The project for the development of high-speed transport in Ufa will be determined by the Head of Bashkiria in December. As Timur Mukhametianov, the head of the State Committee for Transport and Road Facilities, stated at a meeting with journalists, the department jointly with the Ufa administration, specialists of local design institutes and experts from design agencies of Moscow and St. Petersburg prepares for consideration three options: a monorail, a metro bus, and a high-speed tram. Timur Mukhametyanov pointed out that the last project was a priority, as the most economical and environmentally friendly. The system should connect different parts of the city.

The cost of implementing the construction of the high-speed tram system ranges from 7.5 to 22 billion rubles. Most likely, this will be a public-private partnership, and with desirable allocation of the federal budget funds for such a large-scale project, said the head of the State Committee for Transport.
