Bashkortostan capital was chosen to host "Apimondia" International Congress 2021

UFA, 4 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The capital of Bashkortostan - Ufa was chosen as a venue of the 47th Apimondia Congress and the "ApiExpo" exhibition in 2021. The country was determined by voting at the Congress of the International Federation of Beekeeping Associations "Apimondia" in Istanbul on October 3.

The Russian bid was presented on September 30. The Russian exposition became the largest and most visited at the exhibition. In addition to the Russian presentation, the bids of Serbia, Slovenia and Denmark were also presented in Istanbul.

The holding of this forum in Russia, in Ufa, can give an additional impetus to the development of the potential of domestic beekeeping, attract more participants, share unique beekeeping experience of the regions of Russia and contribute to the scientific, technical and economic development of the industry. This opinion was expressed by the delegation of the International Federation of Beekeeping Associations "Apimondia" headed by its president Philip McCabe, who visited Ufa in August. Even then, the participants of the delegation highly assessed the chances of the Russian Federation to hold the 47th Congress of Beekeepers. And Philip McCabe said that the Bashkir honey had a huge potential on the international market.
