Ufa bid for right to host 47th Congress of Apimondia 2021 was presented in Turkey

In Istanbul, the Russia's bid for the right to hold the 47th Congress "Apimondia" 2021 and the exhibition "ApiExpo" in Ufa was presented at the APIEXPO-2017 international exhibition and the Congress of the International Federation of Beekeeping Associations "Apimondia" on September 30.

The press service of the Bashkortostan Congress Bureau informed that the bid was presented by the President of the Russian National Union of Beekeepers Arnold Butov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Ilshat Tazhitdinov and Minister RB Ruslan Mirsayapov.

In addition to the Russian presentation, the bids of Serbia, Slovenia and Denmark were also viewed in Istanbul.

The European country to host the Congress and Exhibition 2021 will be determined on October 3.

The International Federation of Beekeeping Associations "Apimondia" was founded in 1949 during the 13th International Congress on Beekeeping. Its main task is to promote the scientific, technical and economic development of beekeeping in all countries. In 1971, the 23rd International Congress was held in Moscow. Total, the federation unites 118 beekeeping unions from 82 countries of the world. The congresses of Apimondia and the ApiExpo exhibition are held every two years with the alternation of European and other countries hosting events. In 2015, the host country was the Republic of Korea, in 2017 events are held in the Republic of Turkey, in 2019 they will be held in Canada.
